NHSB, which completed the acquisition of the entire assets and business undertaking of Nylex (Malaysia) Berhad on 26 January 2022, has amongst its subsidiaries, dominant players in the industrial chemical products, plastics and polymers business with an annual turnover of more than RM1.5 billion and over 13 subsidiaries operating mainly in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Vietnam.
NHSB is principally involved in investment holding and the manufacture and marketing of vinyl-coated fabrics, calendered film and sheeting and other plastic products, including polyvinyl chloride (more commonly known as PVC), polyurethane ("PU") synthetic leather, films and geotextiles and prefabricated sub-soil drainage systems.
NHSB’s subsidiaries are involved in the manufacture and marketing of rotomoulded plastic products including bulk chemical containers, road barriers, playground equipment and disposal bins; distribution, manufacture and sale of industrial chemical products and manufacture and trading of industrial sealants.
NHSB’s products are widely sold to Europe, the Middle East, more than 15 countries in Asia and to Australia and New Zealand.
NHSB has three (3) main business divisions, namely, the Polymer Division, Industrial Chemical Division and Logistics Division

NSC is the only licensed manufacturer of Orthophosphoric and Polyphosphoric Acids in Malaysia. The orthophosphoric acid is used in the degumming of palm oil during refining, in metal finishing, sugar refining, water treatment and as a catalyst carrier in polymerisation. Polyphosphoric acids (105% and 116% concentrations) are used in special applications such as catalyst carrier and dehydration agent. NSC also produces aluminium chemical polishing solutions under the brand name METABRITE and dipotassium phosphate solution which is used in the food and beverage industry such as in the production of coffee creamer.
The main product of SPM is low ph sodium hexametaphosphate ("SHMP") which is used as a food and beverage addictive or preservative. It also produces the normal neutral grade SHMP. SHMP is marketed under the trade name of PERPHOS.
